We had a gorgeous programme, largely of 18th century dances, from Megan Wilson on Wednesday, and enjoyed her clear and relaxed calling.
We revisited Joseph Pimentel's Mr Hamilton's Inauguration and asked to do it again, even though a lot of us were still finding the left-shoulder hole-in-the-wall crossing difficult. We made a much better job of Hazel Moir's new dance for the Women's Suffrage Centenary, Deeds, Not Words. Brooke Friendly & Chris Sackett's 'Impropriety' went pretty well! Megan began the evening with Jack's Health, which most of us didn't know, and called Shrewsbury Lasses to a lovely recording by Bare Necessities. Orleans Baffled showed that we need to work on thinking ahead. It was a good evening and we are looking forward to Megan's return on 27 June.
